Software Sales Consultant (Industrial Engineer)

Bastian Solutions is seeking a Logistics Consultant for a position with our Software Division. This person will work with other Bastian Sales Teams to facilitate communication around software solutions. This person will create software solutions to be integrated into customer projects. This role works in a team-oriented manner with their colleagues and senior management for the mutual success of the company and themselves as a Logistics Consultant.

Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • Please note this position is not remote, our company supports a hybrid work model which requires individuals to come into the office a few times a week. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. MBA Preferred.
  • Ability to travel 20%
  • Strong computer skills with: MS Office, MS CRM.
  • Experience in team and national account selling strongly preferred.
  • Previous consultative selling or consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management and/or material handling systems preferred.
  • Loves the Strategic Selling Process and winning orders
  • Strong engineering capabilities
  • Outstanding demonstrated performance in preceding career paths.
  • Superior communication skills: written, verbal, email.
  • Positive, problem solving mentality, team player.
  • Excellent customer service ability and a servant's heart.
  • Entrepreneurial. Optimistic about pursuing opportunities.
  • Loves meeting people and building relationships.
  • Comfortable operating independently, autonomously

Travel Requirements
  • 20% overnight travel should be expected (Overnight travel, travel by plane, etc.)

General Job Duties
  • Deliver consistent sales pipeline for engineered, WES, and WCS solutions
  • Exceeding the annual sales goals (metrics). Ability to close sales. Penetrates new target accounts.
  • Demonstrate ability to target national accounts, perform top-down selling strategies, and develop trusting, working relationships with clients.
  • Responsive to customer requests whether it be quotes or corrective action.
  • Great teamwork and mutual respect with the rest of the BSS employees
  • Participate in Engineering / Consulting Studies: data analysis, system design, and final report/presentation generation.
  • Lead generation process and for continued project involvement throughout a project's lifecycle. The Solutions Function as a facilitator, wherever necessary, between BSS and the customer to ensure all parties are successful.
  • Facilitate positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and business partners. Provide other BSS functional departments with constructive feedback on how to better service customers.
  • Create and present PowerPoint presentations and Exacta demonstrations in a timely manner that best suits prospective customers' needs with regards to timing, content, and all other considerations.
  • Responsible for producing project proposals in accordance with company policy, which includes review by the VP of Sales.
  • The Solutions Engineer is expected to be fully capable of producing proposals, presentations administering product demonstrations.
  • Support sold projects through the execution and transition to support department. Assist the company in customer service and support as needed.
  • Participates in Industry Trade Shows. Strive to become an industry "Speaker" and produce "White Papers".
  • Demonstrates superior customer service (as measured by our customers: repeat business and reputation).
  • Excellent representation and development of our key 3rd party supplier product lines and services (AAI, Bastian, Subcontractors).
  • Completes task list items identified by your immediate manager in a timely manner. (Microsoft CRM updates, regular administrative duties)
