Demand Planning Intern

The Role
As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Demand Planning Intern for our 2023 Intern Program. As a member of the Demand Planning team within the Global Supply Chain organization, the Demand Planning Intern is responsible for driving demand planning analyses to support agility around sales trends and S&OP processes. This role will have the opportunity to lead and drive innovative projects that will support the team in reaching established goals on planning for Existing critical product lines and critical launches/product categories, incorporating industry and commercial insights.This position can be located in Raritan, NJ in a hybrid setup.
The Responsibilities
- Legacy product portfolio: Forecast accuracy drivers tied to alert monitor. Matrix connection of product lines to alerts/frequency to be used. How do we quantify Industry Insights and tie to monthly forecast cycle.
- S&OP template design: Collaborate with Director on enhancing one S&OP template across QuidelOrtho family of product lines.
- Connected planning design: Collaborate with Director on enhancing OP model on connected planning model launched in Q2.
- NPI - Measuring the success of new product launches: Quantitative: Define financial success and highlight cannibalization considerations. Qualitative: Hindsight’s for future planning consideration. Launch behavior: Recommend launch profiles should be used for future launches. Product cannibalization when new products are being introduced and recommend logic to determine what will be cannibalized and to what degree.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual
Required:
- At least junior level undergraduate student in Supply Chain and Information systems. We will also consider graduate level students.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Ability to accept employment without sponsorship.
- Above average knowledge of Excel is required – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Graphs/Visuals.
- Good understanding of standard Microsoft Office tools – PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
- Self-starter who seeks out opportunities to learn new concepts and acquire new skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills with ability to actively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Interns should be prepared to fully commit to the start and end dates of on or about May 22 through August 18, 2023.
- Interns are expected to provide their own housing, travel, and any other requirements necessary for their participation in this program.
Preferred:
- Experience with MS Excel is desirable.
The pay range for the Internship Program is between $16/hour to $30/hour. The Pay rate will be determined by the year in school, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate. Benefits are not included for this position.
