Intern- Machinist

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery using setup sheets and communicating with programmer
  • Help manage inventory in coordination with the Stockroom and Purchasing teams. 
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and common troubleshooting when a malfunction occurs
  • Track and maintain raw material, fixture, and tooling log
  • Design and implementation of fixturing equipment for both engineering and production purposes
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Graduate (Tech school machining program enrollment or degree preferred)
  • Experience with manual vertical mill minimum (CNC vertical mill experience preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of G & M code (Fanuc based language preferred)
  • Knowledge of 6S practice and machine shop safety
Additional Knowledge:
  • Entry/Intermediate level CAM programing (GibbsCam or Fusion 360 preferred)
  • Titans of CNC academy training
  • Ability to design and create work holding fixtures/assemblies for use in a manufacturing environment
  • Design for Manufacturability and End-use Assembly
  • Experience/knowledge in complex setups for maximizing rigidity
Language Skills:
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, and possess a high degree of curiosity and desire to learn new things
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
