Remote Field Based Grasshopper Survey Scout (with Geographic Restrictions)- Northern, Nevada
Please note this is a "Remote" and "Field Based" Position, but there are geographic restrictions -- the employee must have a home base in Northern, Nevada to work from.
One position total will be filled for Northern, Nevada. Duty locations in the listing are just examples.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Conduct visual surveys, trapping and surveillance for specific insect pest programs
• Conduct management programs which may involve limited insecticide treatments
• Accomplish all related record keeping, data entry, and mapping as assigned
o Use an iPad and ArcGIS to collect point data
• Communicate closely and work effectively with stakeholders and cooperators
• Operate 4x4 vehicle and off-road vehicles, supplied by PPQ
WORK ASSIGNMENT: Activities will occur throughout Northern Nevada, with occasional work in other areas. Most of this work will occur from May through August. There may be limited opportunities for work outside this time frame.
