Your Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineering, for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will:
- Provide engineering support for Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
- Execute special project activities such as process and equipment design, make vs. buy, and cost/benefit analyses.
- Perform time studies, calculate labor standards, address questions, and resolve issues raised from the production team.
- Develop and maintain Operator Method Sheets (OMS) for the Current Method of Manufacture (CMM).

What Skills You Need
- Experience implementing improvements in design, quality, efficiency, and/or productivity.
- Understanding of and experience with gainsharing programs such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
- 1 or more years of experience using engineering tools and processes.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and summarizing complex data to make sound decisions.
- Experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Effective communicator with ability to engage others.
- Proven ability to successfully learn and adopt new technologies, systems, processes, and tools.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with MP Planner, SAP, and similar software
- Experience working with programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Java, or similar.
- Experience using corrective action tools such as root cause analysis (RCA) and mistake proofing techniques.
- 2 or more years’ experience supporting engineering projects in a factory, warehouse, and/or industrial environment.
- 2 or more years’ experience with advanced Excel functions
- Excellent communicator with experience in supporting factory and/or supplier relationships to solve business problems.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Analytics, Supply Management, Business Management, or a similar mathematics-based discipline
