Industrial Supply Chain Intern

Industrial Supply Chain Intern at ProVeyance
 
Education: Juniors and Seniors studying Business management, or with an industrial engineering background with an interest in commercial topics.
Location: Holland, OH
CommitmentExtended internship; This internship will be May 2023 to December 2023 for at least 32 hours a week.
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION – INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CHAIN INTERN
 
The extended Internship position will be primarily responsible for supporting the ProVeyance Supply Chain and Operations Team in the Purchasing Department with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning. This position will be based in our Holland, OH location. This internship will be May 2023 to December 2023 for at least 32 hours a week.
 
The primary criteria needed to be successful in this position are:
  • Preparing bid comparison sheets and supporting price negotiations with critical suppliers.
  • Preparing, executing, and analyzing data from requests for quotes.
  • Working with cross-functional teams on cost savings projects to gather department requirements and preparing bid specification sheets.
  • Supporting commodity group strategies
  • Using NetSuite for data collection, invoice resolution and purchase requisition approvals to support the team.
  • Improving purchasing processes 80/20 initiative and implementation of best practices and process standards, etc.
  • Developing supplier dashboard process with NetSuite data sets 
Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong inter-personal communication skills and ability to work as a team player. 
Education Experience 
  • Business management or industrial engineering background with an interest in commercial topics.
  • Enjoys working in multi-functional teams, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and interested in technology offered by ProVeyance.
  • Organized, goal-oriented, analytical, dedicated to improvement, self-motivated, and open-minded.
  • Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field. Rising Juniors preferred
