Position Overview
The Division of Early Childhood is seeking to hire a position to serve as the statewide Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator. This position organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operation of special and statewide programs that support the collaboration and provision of mental health services for infants and early childhood (ages birth to 13 years); serves as the Training and Education Coordinator in the development and implementation of training curricula (e.g., Pyramid Model), materials, tools, templates, and strategies regarding infant and early childhood mental health services and social emotional competences; conducts programmatic WebEx desk reviews and/or onsite continuous Quality Assurance activities to promote cutting-edge infant and early childhood mental health services, statewide; and represents the Bureau Chief at public forums, presentations, steering committees, workgroups, and/or retreats regarding Infant and/or Early Childhood Mental Health Services.
Job Responsibilities
1. Serves as the statewide Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator.
2. Serves as the Training and Education Coordinator in the development and implementation of training curricula (e.g., Pyramid Model), materials, tools, templates, and strategies regarding infant and early childhood mental health services and social emotional competencies.
3. Conducts programmatic WebEx desk reviews and/or onsite continuous Quality Assurance activities to promote cutting-edge infant and early childhood mental health services, statewide.
4. Represents the Bureau Chief at public forums, presentations, steering committees, workgroups, and/or retreats regarding Infant and/or Early Childhood Mental Health Services.
5. Performs other duties as assigned and/or or required that are reasonable within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
- Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional experience collaborating and coordinating infant/early childhood mental health services.
- Two (2) years of professional experience with developing and implementing training modules that promote nurturing and responsive caregiving.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in planning, organizing, and/or conducting desk reviews and/or onsite monitoring activities at a public or private organization.
- Two (2) years of professional experience conducting extensive research and evaluating the effectiveness of policy.
- Two (2) years of professional experience communicating with staff, management, stakeholders, etc.
- One (1) year of professional experience working with equity, inclusion, and diverse manners for a public or private organization.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to travel with overnight stays.
- Requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Requires basic proficiency graphs, charts, and maps [e.g., two-dimensional and Arc Geographic Information System (GIS)].
