Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
The Grant Writer will be responsible for the development of proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects, and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects. Duties include, but are not limited to: preparing, submitting and managing grant proposals to government, foundation and corporate sources, providing stewardship to current donors and providing regular written updates (newsletter, etc.) to corporate and foundation donors, and any other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Completion or progress towards a bachelor's degree in english/writing, nonprofit studies, business administration, healthcare administration, or a directly related human service field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education preferred
- Previous experience with private and corporate grant proposals required
- Previous experience with federal and/or state grant proposals highly preferred
- Knowledge of not-for-profit healthcare preferred
- Must have strong editing skills and the ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
