Social Media Internship
LangInnov is a start-up company whose mission is to develop innovative technology to improve educational outcomes for the growing population of multilingual learners in the educational system.
We are currently focused on recruiting dynamic and motivated individuals to help develop our BLAST app, a bilingual assessment and literacy development application, and to join us on this adventure. BLAST, or the Bilingual Literacy Assessment and Skills Tracker, automatically assesses a child's bilingual language and literacy skills, all while offering game-like activities. Our assessment allows educators to make informed placement decisions and provide bilingual students with language development support in both English and their home language.
Our dream candidate possesses the following qualities:
- Knowledgeable of various social media platforms, strategies, and analytics
- Manages time independently but can work collaboratively
- Is hungry to contribute and motivated to learn
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with content team and graphic designer to brainstorm ideas for social media content and other published media, i.e. newsletters and blog posts
- Manage the social media calendar and post engaging content on a timely basis
- Perform social media marketing research and analytics to 1) measure the success of campaigns, and 2) determine best practices such as the best times to post on each of the platforms and which posts are the most effective in reaching our social media goals
- Develop strategies to increase engagement and followers on our social media platforms
- Present performance reports to the team during company-wide meetings
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree or career in communications, marketing, or related field
- Proficiency in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Strong oral and written skills in English
- Ability to work alongside a diverse group of people and work on various company initiatives at once
This internship is unpaid but can be done for course credit. Please discuss during the interview. This opportunity is aimed at helping you develop communications and marketing skills in pursuit of your career goals. The time commitment is up to 10 hours per week.
