Associate Procurement Analyst – Raw Materials and Industrial Gases
 
Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Procurement Analyst to support the Raw Materials and Industrial Gases categories. This position is located at either the East Chicago, IN, West Chester, OH or Cleveland, OH.
 
Summary of Responsibilities:
 
·        Assist the Category Buyers and Category Manager in performing strategic sourcing and procurement for assigned commodities across all US facilities
·        Support bidding, negotiating and implementing national sourcing deals for assigned commodities
·        Serve as the primary resource for understanding national, regional, and local procurement requirements
·        Work closely with Maintenance and Operations organizations to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the purchase and use of assigned commodities
·        Perform detailed analysis (return on investment, supply-demand analysis, price-value analysis, etc.) to evaluate alternative sourcing strategies
·        Minimize inventory levels through supplier management/stocking, just-in-time inventory management, consignments agreements and other techniques
·        Manage national relationships with suppliers
·        Identify and develop new potential suppliers
·        Consolidate the procurement volume to obtain leverage and cost savings while meeting the specifications of end users
·        Create and manage supplier metrics to drive consistent delivery, quality, and year over year savings
·        Develop annual savings targets and reporting results versus plan; managing compliance to national sourcing strategies
·        Various other duties as needed to support the business
 
Minimum Qualifications:
·        BS or BA in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or another business-related field
·        Proficient at Excel
·        Coursework in Accounting
·        Knowledge of financial analysis and P&L
·        Knowledge of Commercial contract basis
·        Some experience of pulling data from database / data retreatment and cleaning / data analysis
·        Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
·        Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
·        Understanding of the steelmaking processes and practices
