Middle School Program Staff

About DA: DA is an Indianapolis based 501c3 nonprofit that has been serving vulnerable and underserved youth since 2001. Saying it another way, DA addresses racial and economic inequity for youth in Indianapolis, by helping them develop career paths and increasing their wealth opportunities. DA’s 6-year continuum of programming and support is designed to help vulnerable youth develop a career path, develop soft skills, and develop a professional network before high school graduation. The combination of a high school degree, a clear career path, and a large professional network, provides youth a real opportunity to be the first in their family to break the cycle of poverty.

DA’s programs and services have seen very encouraging measurable results since 2010. In these past 11 years, we have seen a 100% high school graduation rate, with 96% of our youth on a career path (accepted to college, trade, or military), and 69% of our youth are accepted to college.

Position Overview:
  • Provide support and implementation for DREAM Alive’s after-school programming, trips, and lessons.
  • Learn under the direction of the Youth Program leadership, skills needed to advance mentoring and relationships in our schools.
  • Be an advocate with DREAM Alive by being a part of our team, joining the team as we build bridges within the community.
  • Bring consistent adult relationships into DREAM Alive’s after-school program with the main goal being to interact alongside youth staff.
  • Build relationships with scholars in a positive, empowering, life-on-life way during their time in the program under the guidance of DREAM Alive’s Youth Program leadership.

The part-time program staff will work in coordination with staff and under the direction of the Program Director.
