Job Description:
'- Supporting NAL DPD Indexing and Informatics Branch strategic communications efforts to engage our stakeholders and inform administrators.
- Provide meeting coordination, scheduling, support (note taking) and follow-up.
- Writing, summarizing, and editing accomplishments and website content for internal reports, the general public
- Providing administrative and programmatic support to IIB Branch Chief.

- Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or related majors
Desired Skills:
The student must be a strong communicator (written and oral), highly detail oriented, and have a natural ability to multitask and stay organized. Additionally, the student ideally has experience:
-Writing, editing, and proofreading content for various audiences.
-Creating engaging presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
-Designing basic graphics in Adobe Creative Cloud or other design programs.
-Posting content on social media platforms, such as Twitter and LinkedIn, in order to educate others or market events.
-Locating and analyzing data on social media platforms to improve results.
-Planning and coordinating events.
Supervision:
- Interns will report to the National Agricultural Library - Data Production Division - Indexing & Informatics Branch.
- Interns will receive guidance and feedback from supervisor daily, weekly, or as needed.
- Interns formal evaluation are completed at the following segments of the internship session, Mid-term and Final Performance Evaluation.
Requirements Conditions of Employment:
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Must be in good academic standing as defined by their academic institution.
- Satisfactory Background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- The position is renewable, based upon effective performance, availability of funds, and program needs, with the possibility of a multiple-year appointment.
