The Customer Service Process Design Intern will work on targeted projects individually or in small teams. Projects may require operational observations, data collection/analysis, cross functional communication and problem solving. All projects will be presented to the Customer Experience management staff upon completion and a broader leadership group for their major assigned project. The internship will include assignments on challenging and industry-specific projects, plus the opportunity to network with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Draft and document standard operating procedures for Customer Service and Supply Chain Operations functions partnering closely with the Customer Service management, Operational Excellence, and Vendor Management teams
  • Assist in evaluating and determining best methods for handling customer service processes; eg. Returns, Replacement Orders, Cancelations, Missing Parts, etc.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine workflow processes and standards
  • Assist in providing technical and operational support as needed
  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, software and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Rising Junior/Senior pursuing major in industrial Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field
  • Interest and aptitude to quickly learn new and emerging technologies
  • Self-starter willing to actively participate in solving complex problems
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills; able to obtain results from cross-functional teams
  • Able to translate business needs to technical specifications and insights from data into a compelling story
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, Informatica, Python, SAS, SAP or related program is a plus
