Artist Programming and Community Outreach Intern

Job Description:   
The Programs and Community outreach intern will work closely with the Programming and Community Outreach team here at the Long Center, learning the event process from concept through event settlement.  They will assist with simple administrative tasks, helping with the team’s checks and balance system to ensure that all aspects of programming are cross-checked and perfect before execution.   
 
The Long Center is Austin’s front row, and this intern will help with brainstorming new and unique ways to grab people’s attention and invite them in.  This intern will join in on weekly Program and Marketing meetings helping sort out upcoming event expectations including ticketing. Taking notes and creating design documentation related to event execution and layouts as well. This intern will be tasked with additional event research and will learn more about our proprietary systems. This intern will help day-of with various events at the Long Center’s many presenting spaces. This will culminate with the intern presenting dynamic information regarding the connections between programming, marketing, and ticketing.   
 
This internship offers new ways to connect with the Austin community and more! They will also assist during events by helping escort VIPs, communicating with talent, and serving as a liaison between departments day of.
