Remote, Paid Summer Internship at Federal Trade Commission, Division of Consumer & Business Education (DCBE)

This position is located in the Division of Consumer and Business Education (DCBE), within the Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP), Federal Trade Commission (FTC). DCBE is a dynamic communications shop, responsible for developing and marketing educational materials to help consumers know their rights in the marketplace, and to help businesses comply with the FTC laws and regulations.

The Summer Intern in DCBE assists in public information campaigns about mission-related topics like financial literacy, computer security, and avoiding fraud and identity theft, as well as communications about legal rights and compliance responsibilities.
Duties may include: 
·      Conducting research and compiling information on various community groups, nonprofit organizations, and state & local governments to expand our outreach efforts
·      Assisting with research, planning and implementation of various outreach campaigns – including our campaigns for Latino consumers, LGBTQ+ folks, college students, tribal communities, and more
·      Attending meetings for the purpose of gathering information and preparing summaries
·      Proposing, researching and writing timely consumer education blogs (Consumer Alerts)
