2023 Data for Good Hackathon - HBCU Student Edition

Data for Good Hackathon - HBCU Student Edition

The Data for Good hackathon gives you the chance to use your data analysis and coding skills to help a nonprofit organization further their mission.

This spring, JPMorgan Chase is hosting a hackathon welcoming students who attend Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to gain insight into how JPMorgan Chase leverages Analytics and Data Science to drive innovation and serve our clients.

On Friday, April 21^st and Saturday, April 22^nd, participants will be placed on a team with other students from across the country to collaborate and analyze large, social good data sets and derive insights for a leading nonprofit organization. Participants will work side-by-side with JPMorgan Chase researchers and data scientists, learning from their experience as they creatively solve real world problems faced by social organizations. You Participants are encouraged to develop cutting-edge ideas that could make a difference in society.

In addition to networking with other aspiring data scientists from around the world, Data for Good is also a chance to meet our recruiting teams and experience what it's like to work in Analytics and Data Science at JPMorgan Chase.

Participants will need to bring their own laptops to the event. Travel expenses will be covered by JPMorgan Chase, though conditions will apply. Further details and instructions will be provided to successful applicants.

Participation in our Data for Good hackathon will lead to priority consideration for the 2024 AI/ML & Data Science opportunities.

To be considered for AI/ML & Data Science opportunities, Data for Good participants will be required to participate in the standard hiring process, including the submission of a separate application for each program. Additional information, including application details, to be provided to Data for Good participants.
