Product Communications Specialist


Job Description Qualifications:
This position is part of the Product Research and Incubation team inside Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solutions Organization.  We are looking for Product Communications Specialist to join our team in Englewood Co. Our group is responsible for discovering opportunities for new products and services, developing them and bringing those products to market. 
The ideal candidate will be involved in identifying NEW product and service opportunities, researching, expanding those ideas, and evaluating the ideas for business feasibility and technical implementation.   Discovering these ideas will come from various sources such as organizing and facilitating employee idea generation sessions, building relationships with innovative universities, attending industry events to identify industry trends and new product opportunities, as well as harvesting ideas from executives and the Digital Aviation Solutions strategy team. 
As ideas are adopted, and move through the innovation pipeline, communication of the status of the ideas is crucial.  This position oversees a demonstration lab that we use to explain to executives how the ideas fit into the bigger context of aviation/airline operations and demonstrating prototype functionality produced by the innovation teams. 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and delivers strong and impactful executive presentations
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with executive leaders and other innovation centers in Boeing
  • Coordinates executive level events to include capture of ideas, reporting progress of ideas being developed, and demonstrating prototypes of ideas that are nearing customer deployment
  • Oversees and coordinates idea collection for new products and services
  • Maintains a repository of new product and service ideas
  • Oversees and maintains the new Product Incubation Lab (Demonstration lab)
  • Regularly communicates & defends new ideas, product status, and prototype demonstrations to senior executives
  • Coordinates, leads, and facilitates idea generation sessions with employees and executives
  • Manage relationships and interactions with innovative Universities in the United States
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite three days a week at the listed location.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years background in aviation and/or airline operations
  • 3+ years’ experience with product innovation
  • 3+ years creating/delivering Presentations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 7+ years background in aviation and/or airline operations
  • 7+ years’ experience with product innovation
  • 7+ years creating/delivering Presentations
Typical Education & Experience:
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)
Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4 Summary pay range: $136,850.00-$185,150.00
Level 5 Summary pay range: $159,800.00-$216,200.00
