Position Summary: 
 
Under the guidance of the Repair Department Supervisor and/or Manager, the Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs on electronic/electrical devices. Enter and maintain product repair information in the Salesforce system. 
 
Activity & Essential Function Identification                                                           
 
  • Conduct/Assist engineers in component level diagnosis and repairs of CNC, servo/spindle drives, PLC, and/or other electronic and electrical equipment
  • Disassemble units/conduct unit setups
  • Must have good soldering/de-soldering skills
  • Perform other job functions as assigned
  • Replace components to test for equipment operability
  • Support the Customer Service Group by providing requested technical information to the customer
  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions

Essential Education, Skills and Experience

 
  • AA in electronic engineering, or equivalent experience in job field
  • Team builder/player, ability to work effectively with others
  • Good oral communication skills and reading comprehension (read schematics and charts)
  • Good organizational skills
 

Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience

 
 
  • Experience in Automation products preferred.
 
 

Physical, Environmental, Cognitive Requirements

 
 
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to another.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear face coverings up to 100% of the day.
  • Able to work potential overtime/extended hours.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and work independently to solve them.
  • Ability to work with others as a team
 

Working Hours

  • Working hours will be 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. At least once a week 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Work schedule subject to change.
