Disney Live Entertainment Costuming Buyer Intern, Summer/Fall 2023

A Day in the Life…  
  • Researching fabrics, trims, and notions for Operational and Entertainment garments
  • Process orders for fabrics, trims, notions, and garments in SAP
  • Monitor delivery dates for commodities/components being ordered
  • Monitor warehouse inventory and complete withdrawal transactions when needed
  • Attend local vendor visits and develop garment bid packages for specific commodities
  • Responsible for commodity specific photo documentation

What we are looking for… 
  • Proven experience in Textiles and/or the Apparel industry
  • Proven knowledge of fabrics with an understanding of their relation to design and construction techniques
  • Proven knowledge of international shipping processes and global sourcing
  • Demonstrating computer efficiency with SAP, Yunique PLM, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong partnering skills
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including overtime

Preferred Education:
  • Junior, Senior or recent graduate earning a college/university degree in Merchandising, Textiles, or related field

Internship Eligibility:
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • ​Candidates must be fully available to work full time any time including days, nights, weekends, and holidays for the duration of the internship
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work​
  • Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines

Program Length: The approximate dates of this 6-month internship are June 2023 through January 2024
