A Day in the Life…
- Researching fabrics, trims, and notions for Operational and Entertainment garments
- Process orders for fabrics, trims, notions, and garments in SAP
- Monitor delivery dates for commodities/components being ordered
- Monitor warehouse inventory and complete withdrawal transactions when needed
- Attend local vendor visits and develop garment bid packages for specific commodities
- Responsible for commodity specific photo documentation
What we are looking for…
- Proven experience in Textiles and/or the Apparel industry
- Proven knowledge of fabrics with an understanding of their relation to design and construction techniques
- Proven knowledge of international shipping processes and global sourcing
- Demonstrating computer efficiency with SAP, Yunique PLM, SharePoint, and Excel
- Demonstrated strong computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong partnering skills
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including overtime
Preferred Education:
- Junior, Senior or recent graduate earning a college/university degree in Merchandising, Textiles, or related field
Internship Eligibility:
- At the time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Candidates must be fully available to work full time any time including days, nights, weekends, and holidays for the duration of the internship
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
Program Length: The approximate dates of this 6-month internship are June 2023 through January 2024
