Supply Chain Intern

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts supply chain analysis as assigned among sourcing, operations or procure to pay functions; works under the guidance of Manager Informatics and Technology
·      Completes assigned short term department project(s) aimed at addressing supply chain process improvements; presents final project(s).
·      Rounds among all supply chain departments to gain knowledge and insight among key supply chain functions; may perform key tasks associated with specific job roles to further familiarize and fulfill daily work requirements.
·      Attends all key strategic, department and standing committees to gain insight on supply chain strategies, key initiatives and operations.
·      Shadows other employees to learn more about Allina Health and its Supply Chain
·      Attend group social events to connect with Allina Health employees and fellow interns
·      Brings a new perspective to teams and look at challenges in a different way
·      Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
·      Proficient in Excel
·      Well-honed analytical skills to determine ROI, what-if analysis and utilization practices
·      Clinical/operational domain knowledge of one to many specialized areas
·      Ability to facilitate and build relationships with internal customers; ability to work with suppliers, clinical staff, physician leaders; operations executives and leaders on innovative products and technology.
·      Exposure to ERP and supply chain systems. 
·      Change management skills
·      Detail oriented
·      Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work autonomously

Requirements
·      3rd year of college program, with a focus on Supply Chain
·      Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
·      Resident of the in the MSP metroplex
