Design/Estimator Internship
Southwest Solutions Group is seeking interns for the summer of 2023 who are eager to learn and desire to make an impact in our company. The Design/Estimator Internship is twelve weeks (40 hours per week). Southwest Solutions Group is seeking an intern who enjoys drawing, writing, and planning the design process.
Location: Lewisville, TX, Hybrid, May 22nd- August 11th 2023
Pay: $13/hour
Duties will include:
- Updating and expanding the department's library of processes and procedures
- Shadowing senior planners to learn product and design process concepts
- Create a series of pricing estimators for various products for product, freight costs, and installation services
- Assist with document and resource compilation for product library to be used with API website
- All other duties as assigned
Preferred qualifications:
- Majoring in engineering, business, or interior design preferred
- Going into sophomore, junior, or senior year
- Excel skills, including pivot table creation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to understand customer needs
- Data analysis skills
- Good time management skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
