Teacher Assistant
Our Head Start Division wishes to recruit an outstanding candidate for the following position:
Teacher Assistant – seasonal school-year Head Start position!
To assist in planning and implementing learning experiences that advances the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of children. Aid in encouraging the engagement of the families in Head Start.
*RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE* The successful candidate who fills this position will receive a $1,000 recruitment incentive payment. The incentive will be paid as a one-time lump sum payment upon completion of a 6-month service period with CAPLP and with a performance review rate of “fully competent”. Failure to fulfill the expectations and duties of the position shall terminate any agreed upon Recruitment Incentive and may warrant reimbursement of the incentive.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid Driver’s License
· Must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by first day of employment or have a valid and approved medical or religious exemption
· Willing to attain Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within 18 months of initial employment date
Preferred Qualifications:
· Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
· Educational Coursework in Early Childhood Education leading to an associate degree
· Past Head Start experience as a parent or volunteer preferred
