Camp Rise Camp Counselor 
Pay: $20.00 hr. 
Temporary: April 24, 2023 – July 31, 2023
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 
Are you someone who loves to enjoy working with youth between the ages of 10 – 13 years old? We are looking for camp counselors who are able help children grow in character, experiences and insights and have a passion for mentoring students. Counselors should be enthusiastic, responsible, and level-headed, and capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day’s worth of activities. If this position sounds interesting to you, apply today!
Purpose
As a camp counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Counselors interact with campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. A Counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise campers and ensure their safety, development, growth, skill achievement and general well-being
  • Energetic I interaction with Campers and Parents
  • Daily/Weekly check in with Camp Rise Director
  • Monitor the campers to ensure compliance with the rules and to ensure safety
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment as needed
  • Assists in maintaining accurate program records, incident reports, and daily attendance records.

  • Someone who enjoys working with children and have strong communication skills.
  • Alert and have great time management skills.
  • Have excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Can mediate, demonstrate patience, and a team player
  • Have the stamina to stay active throughout the day
Required Skills and qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or some college or childcare work experience
  • CPR Training, working with children and an urban environment 
  • Proficiency in PC applications
