POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking an experienced, qualified, innovative individual to perform software development with a focus on building a culture for a DEVOPS environment for a world-wide system. If you have experience with Kubernetes, preferably for cloud-based container orchestration and a good understanding of Docker and Docker Compose submit your resume today!

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, designing, developing release automation for operations and applications
  • Define best practices, guidelines and standards that balance short- and long-term objectives in a practical manner
  • Manage and maintain CI/CD tools within a team
  • Work within Linux and Windows environments
  • Create and monitor health checks for the services on our programs
  • Deploy updates and fixes; providing technical support and direction to other software engineers
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Build tools to improve automation, reduce occurrences of errors, and continuously improve our pipeline
  • Promote DevOps as a culture

Qualifications:

Applicable experience includes the following:
Working with continuous integration / continuous deployment strategies.
Troubleshooting incidents in a production system.
Experience with Kubernetes, preferably for cloud-based container orchestration.
A good understanding of Docker and Docker Compose.
Managing CI/CD servers and agents in Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar application.
Experience with Artifactory, Nexus, or similar application.
Understanding of IaC with experience using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tool.
Experience in at least one scripting language

Preferred/Desired Additional Skills:

Developing CI/CD configuration as code such as Jenkins files or bamboo specs.
System administration and /or network administration experience, especially in Centos or RHEL.
Familiarity with managing Jira, Mattermost, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.
Experience with Platform One and/or DI2E
RHEL Certification highly desired

Travel: Minimal but, some may be required CONUS and OCONUS
Must be able to achieve and maintain a U.S. Passport

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work

BESL complies with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately 100,000 - 130000 (+ DOE).
NOTE: salary range is approximate and is not a guarantee of compensation or, salary. Salary /compensation may vary based on a variety of factors such as, (but not limited to) experience, geographic location, schedule, and/or travel requirements.
