Position Description: Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking a highly qualified System Administrator to be a team member in building and maintaining a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) secure baseline operating system in support of a continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO).
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Participate as a team member of an RHEL secure baseline operating system team
- Works with scripts to help automate frequent processes
- Works with ACAS, SCAP, and STIG Viewer
- Conducts scheduled updates of vulnerabilities of RHEL
- Works with obtaining Common Criteria Certificates and other reciprocity certificates
- Works on obtaining DoD PPS Vulnerability Assessment (VA) reports
- Works with providing Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) information
- Maintains software lists of all installed and optional packages included in RHEL
- Performs as an expert in system administration of RHEL
Position Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in System Administration for RHEL
- Security Clearance: Current DoD clearance required (Must be a U.S. Citizen to hold a Security Clearance)
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree Required in related field
- Experience with Ansible and other script languages
- Knowledge of ACAS, SCAP, and STIGs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working within a Military and/or Government environment
Certifications: DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 certification (Security+) and RHEL certification
Preferred Skills:
- Master's Degree in a related field
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance. TS/SCI preferred.

BESL complies with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately $90000 - 135000.
