Government Relations Intern - Summer 2023

We have an exciting opportunity for a high caliber student wishing to take a placement in our Government Relations team in the United States.

About the role - you will:

•   Work with our Government Relations and Legal Terms to understand the direction of U.S. federal policy
•   Help identify opportunities and risks to Seagate’s U.S. business strategy
•   Conduct research on policy and monitor congressional hearings and present summaries and findings to the GR team

About you:

•   You will be aware of the challenges involved with the geopolitical dynamics with technology policy
•   You will have experience and/or interest in the following policy areas: international trade, data and cyber security, export controls, supply chain, sustainability and ESG
•   You will be self-motivated and capable of working in a self-directed manner
•   A successful candidate should have proven teamwork qualities as well as communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
•   You are currently pursuing a Master's or MBA in one or more of the following programs: public policy, international relations, political science, or a related area of study.


Location: Remote United States
The estimated base salary range for this position: $22 -$32. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
