POSITION SUMMARY: Support Production team in reviewing manufacturing processes, cleanroom layout and overall material flow.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:
- Assists in creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering input, engineering drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities.
- Assists in development and refinement of work instructions, work scopes, routes, and BOMs
- Works with cost accounting to define cycle & takt times to generate standard hour measurements on the shop floor
- Assist in data collection, scrubbing, and refinement of capacity studies
- Collects data and maintains metrics using Microsoft Office suite
- Maintains safe and orderly work areas, understands and is compliant with organization’s policies and procedures
- If available use of CAD or other software for layout design.
Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills Required:
· Fast learner, driven problem solver
· Outgoing personality
· A basic understanding and experience with following software would be advantageous:
o Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, VISUAL BASIC, Microsoft Access, Infor VISUAL, and SQL Server
· Proactive, humble, and easy to work with others
· Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
· Occasional walking and standing, reaching with hands and arms, balancing and stooping, or kneeling required
· Occasional lifting and /or moving up to 20 pounds required
· Ability to work with moderate noise level
· Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English
