Fine Arts Studio Assistant

Office/Department: Department of Art and Design
Compensation: $12 per hour starting pay ($.50 per hour raises are available for students who do this multiple years)
Hours: 5-10 hours per week
Supervision: The Fine Art Studio Assistant will be supervised by the fine arts faculty of the Art and Design Department, who will train them on their duties and guide their work.

Position Description
The Fine Art Studio Assistant will assist in maintaining equipment, facilities, and supplies, in the fine arts studios of the Art and Design Department. Duties will include:
  • Work in drawing, painting, 2D design, sculpture, woodworking, ceramics, and digital fabrication studios
  • Clean studio spaces and equipment
  • Organize tools and materials
  • Transport supplies and equipment
  • Help studio work efficiently and effectively
  • Light maintenance on selected equipment

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a Parkside student in good standing who has taken fine art classes in the past.
