Care of Family Member and Pregnancy & Bonding Unit Managers

This position will have remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

Description of Job
The salary range for this position is -
$39.97 - $51.61 Hourly
$3,197.54 - $4,128.46 Biweekly
$6,928.00 - $8,945.00 Monthly
$83,136.00 - $107,340.00 Annually 


This posting represents two vacancies:

Position 1:
This position is responsible for the management of the Care of Family Member Unit of the Claim Management Unit of the Division of Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI). This position will develop and manage operational processes for the Care of Family Member unit ensuring program compliance, the provision of quality services, and expected program performance. This position will review and analyze FAMLI claims for eligibility and adjudication, and mentor the team on benefit determinations. This position will also lead and develop a team of Supervisors and Claim Adjudicators that are responsible for accurate adjudication of FAMLI claims that pertain to the care of family members. 
Position 2:
This position is responsible for the management of the Pregnancy and Bonding Unit of the Claim Management Unit of the Division of Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI). This position will develop and manage operational processes for the Pregnancy and Bonding Unit ensuring program compliance, the provision of quality services, and expected program performance. This position will review and analyze FAMLI claims for eligibility and adjudication, and mentor the team on benefit determinations.This position will also lead and develop a team of Supervisors and Claim Adjudicators that are responsible for accurate adjudication of FAMLI claims that pertain to pregnancy and bonding.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Substitutions:

Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.

AND

Four years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position to include any of the following: Absence Management (Short Term/Long Term disability, FMLA), Medical Terminology and Health Conditions or Health Insurance Claims Management.

Interpreting and understanding entitlement and eligibility of benefits and/or Absence based programs to issue legal determinations for related cases.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in the Absence Industry.

  • Supervisory/Managerial experience.

  • Employee training and development experience.

  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and process writing/implementation experience.
Required Competencies:
  • Experience with Leave of Absence Case Management (PFML, FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA etc.)
