Communications Intern (WI)

Your opportunity:
Greenheck Group is looking for a highly motivated student to work from May - August 2023. In this role, you will work closely with the Communications Manager with the creation, organization, execution, and completion of work for Greenheck Group’s communication team. This position will allow you to impact our business while learning about our company and culture. 
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Assist with the planning and development of company-wide communication strategies.
  • Serve as an internal consultant/liaison to Greenheck Group.
  • Manage media relations and follow up.
  • Proofread communications before release.
  • Ensure communications stay on corporate brand.
  • Create project briefs, ensure tactical alignment on objectives, timing, and budgets, and manages projects to the expectations of the project sponsor.
  • Ensure process and communication optimizes project results.
  • Meet established deadlines for assigned projects and proactively inform stakeholders of project status and updates.
  • Manage the project queue maintaining priorities, timing, and progress reports.
  • Assist with recurring and periodic communications such as:
  • The quarterly company magazine
  • Quarterly Business Reviews (by entity)
  • Employee survey
  • Greenheck Group website
  • Greenheck Group intranet
  • Greenheck Group social media channels
  • Facility communication and signage
  • Recruitment marketing responsibilities 
 
What you should have:
  • Enrollment in a related bachelor's degree program (Marketing, Communications, Public Relations)
  • On track to graduate in the next 2 years or less.
 
Somethings we think you should know:
  • This position will be located at our campus in WI, with the flexibility of hybrid work. 
 
While participating in a Greenheck Group college program position, you will:
  • Interact and network with the intern & co-op group across the U.S. (about 50 total college students)
  • Be evaluated on your performance with a mid-term and final evaluation.
  • Present your projects and experiences to our company leaders and executives at the end of your term.
  • Participate in Fundamental Fridays - exposure to our business and business leaders. 
  • Have the opportunity to take part in company sponsored volunteering.
