- The primary function of this position is to provide expert technical support for release management /job scheduling change management migration services and testing support for Automated Information System {AIS) sustainment projects.
- Directs operations utilizing a thorough knowledge of infrastructure support tools and techniques and the hardware and software used in the DLA production and development environments as related to day-to-day operations and resolution of problems and areas requiring corrective action.
- Determines the most appropriate principles, practices, and methods to apply in all phases of assignments, including the approach to be taken, degree of intensity, and depth of research in management advisories.
- Frequently interprets regulations on his/her own initiative, applies new methods to resolve complex and/or intricate, controversial, or unprecedented issues and problems, and resolves most of the conflicts that arise.
- Keeps the supervisor informed of progress and of potentially controversial matters.
