Trainee: Full-Time/Temp - Hourly
Endeavor Business Media is searching for candidates looking to start a career in Editorial Content. This is a paid training program that will prepare you for a permanent position. You, along with a group of other professionals, will go through an exciting and extensive 4-month training program.
This position can work at any EBM office location. Independence, OH, Schaumburg, IL, Tulsa, OK, Fort Collins, CO
Job Summary: Responsible for developing content, supporting editors, and significantly contributing to editorial projects across the seven brands of the manufacturing group.
Primary Objective: To increase the editorial output and quality of core content across the group.
Responsibilities: Writing/posting industrial products, managing newsletter deployments, copyediting and proofing, social media, analyzing traffic and audience engagement trends.
  • Rewrite press releases for product posts
  • Populate, test, and deploy key e-newsletters
  • Facilitate the development of and compile data from ongoing audience engagement surveys and research
  • Post content and engage with audience through social media channels
  • Pull regular website and newsletter analytics reports
  • Post articles, news, and photo galleries to key brand sites
  • Pitching and developing original stories and content.
Core Competencies: The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong writing/editing skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight time constraints. he or she will be digitally savvy, with a strong understanding of SEO, social media best practices, and analytics. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail, solid time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to work independently or as part of a team, strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of core software applications: MS Office, Photoshop, Acrobat, content management.
  • Bachelor's degree--in English, journalism, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years editorial experience
Job Dimensions: Some travel may be required.
