Government Grants Manager

The Government Grants Manager provides grant writing and project management support to advance OMSI’s ambitious strategic plan and advance our vision to “ignite an education transformation at the intersection of science, technology and design, and weave a thriving innovation district into the fabric of Portland, that spreads opportunities across the Northwest.”
 
This position will focus on large-scale government grant proposals ranging from $50,000-$3,000,000+, as well as manage online grant submissions, ensure procedural compliance, and collaborate with project directors and the Project Management Office in reporting on active awards. This role provides team leadership and support that may include advice, financial tracking and budget oversight, schedule development, and mentoring project leads as needed.
 
Position is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
·        2 weeks of vacation per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 200 hours.
·        2 weeks of sick time per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 520 hours.
·        12 Personal / Cultural Days per year.
