Choral Activities Assistant
Position Summary: Choral Activities Assistants provide clerical and logistical support for UW-Parkside Music department's choral ensembles and occasionally aid in the support of choral concerts in the music wing of the Rita Tallent Pickett Regional Center for the Arts & Humanities. NO prior experience or musical training/talent needed!
Supervisor: Dr. James Kinchen, Director of Choral Activities
Description of Hours: 5-7 hours a week; some weekend and/or evening hours required
Responsibilities:
- Serve as librarian to the university choral ensembles, which involves in-taking, sorting, filing, inventorying, and retrieving sheet music and music booklets in the music library.
- Organize the check-out and check-in of scores at beginning and end of semester.
- Photocopy parts as necessary.
- Help set-up for choral rehearsals and concerts.
- Help "stage manage" choral concerts.
- Help with various office duties in support of Choral Activities.
