Environmental Engineer / Scientist / Geologist
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, geoscience, environmental science/management, geography, or a related scientific degree
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
- Basic computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets
- Willingness to travel within the state to meet project needs (company vehicle provided)
- Valid driver's license and must be able to pass an MVR check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training with an annual 8-hour refresher (is a plus)
- GIS/CAD mapping education/skills a major plus (but not required)
RESPONSIBILITIES (You will need experience or knowledge with the following tasks):
- Contractor oversight for environmental field projects (soil borings, excavations, monitoring well installations, surveying, engineered cap installations, etc.)
- Site inspections and field observations
- Collecting, processing, and evaluating data (experience with groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and air sampling)
- Interacting with environmental regulatory agencies and clients
- Remediation system O&M
- Task management of remediation and assessment projects
- Preparing remedial and/or due diligence reports
- Soil, water, air, stormwater, and land use permitting and compliance
- Data compilation, organization, and analysis
