Graphic Design and Marketing Assistant - University Marketing

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Graphic Design and Marketing Assistant will assist with marketing projects, including but not limited to graphic design. They will participate in various stages of developing marketing programs and advertising materials to promote Parkside to prospective and current students. 
Under the direction of a marketing coordinator or manager, the successful candidate will primarily work on collateral pieces, building digital assets, and website updates. There will also be several miscellaneous projects to work on – hanging posters, installing vinyl, photography, videography, etc. 

HOW TO GET THE JOB
As a successful candidate, you will have demonstrated attention to detail. (Hint – pay attention to your grammar, spelling, and accuracy in submitted materials.) In addition, you will demonstrate a willingness to learn. (Hint – do this at your interview.) Your willingness to learn will outweigh actual experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Graphic Design experience and examples to demonstrate skills (IMPORTANT)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Mac operating system
- Creativity and the ability to verbally convey ideas
- Ability and interest in designing for digital media
- Desire to learn, grow, and gain real job experience in a professional environment
- Willingness to follow direction and accept criticism
- Graphic design major preferred
