In the Compensation Consulting Intern role, you will be a key teammate in aspects of engagements from data analysis to initial report preparation. This role is critical to the overall management of client engagements by effectively analyzing Rewards Solutions’ proprietary survey data to develop strategic recommendations for our clients. This position entails assisting with a variety of client requests, while providing the opportunity for involvement on a wide spectrum of projects, exposure to dynamic and high-growth industries, and regular interaction with peer and senior level teammates. Over the course of their internship, Analyst Interns will receive full insight on how to build a solid foundation for a career path at Aon.
Aon Summer Internship Program
This role falls under Aon’s Summer Internship Program and provides a unique opportunity for rising college seniors to learn, contribute, and gain real world work experience in a collaborative environment. Interns have the chance to learn more about Aon’s culture and businesses while developing practical skills necessary for future success and postgraduate opportunities. The 10-week summer program includes weekly spotlights delivered by Aon business leaders, a community outreach event and networking opportunities with fellow interns and colleagues. The program equips interns with an understanding of working in an environment dedicated to exceeding client expectations and delivering products and services distinct to unique client needs.
In addition to on-the-job training, our interns actively participate, along with their fellow intern colleagues, in a formal Development Plan. This provides interns:
  • An understanding of the basic functions and types of clients within Aon’s businesses
  • An understanding of Aon’s ethical standards
  • Training geared toward enabling interns to demonstrate an ability to work in a professional business environment
  • Opportunities to network with fellow peers, Aon colleagues and executive leadership at program social events and interactive speaker forums
  • Opportunities to learn and utilize Aon’s internal systems
  • Opportunities to demonstrate interpersonal and team building skills through many networking events
Your Impact as a Consulting Analyst Intern
By working hands-on with consultants, the internship program is designed to develop the advanced analytical and research skillset needed to prepare college students for advancement into a consulting career.
Position Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze competitive compensation practices in a defined labor market
  • Complete job evaluations, perform benchmarking assessments, and design cash and equity solutions
  • Analyze and interpret data and prepare client deliverables
  • Support consultants by “owning the data” and fielding questions about figures or methodology
  • Guide simultaneous projects through multiple interim steps, completing work fully and on schedule
  • Maintain and update compensation and financial databases

  • Aptitude in developing proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
Education & Application Information
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with a displayed interest in both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of problem solving (through choice of major, work experience and/or participation in school organizations). 
Applicants for this role should graduate between December 2023 – June 2024 and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for U.S. office locations. We do not offer sponsorship for this position – CPT and OPT are restricted forms of work authorization.

The target salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
