Entry Level - Marketing Specialist - Channel
The Entry Marketing specialist position supports DAP’s Field Sales and Marketing teams through the development of new business, promotions, and special projects. This is a high opportunity role with potential for growth/advancement.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and analyze promotions and track program effectiveness; recommend program changes and improvements; manage competitive retail comparisons; work with sales & marketing teams on new business conversion opportunities to develop strategic pricing and promotional initiatives to maximize sales and profitability
· Serving as a member of cross functional project teams with Marketing, Research & Development, and Operations
· Provides analytical support by developing reports/dashboards that provide actionable intelligence and insights to key stakeholders
· Directing and coordinating numerous projects during the year that ultimately drive sales and support the field sales team, including shows/conferences, competitor database/benchmarks, field sales meetings, and developing sell sheets and POP resources
· Drive growth by providing ongoing training to the field sales team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree
· 0 to 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, finance, or operations. Previous industry experience in retail hardware as an outside sales representative or selling in stores, a plus
· Effective project management skills, financial acumen and understanding of business measures (sales, gross margin, Etc.)
· Excellent communication, analytical skills, strong attention to detail
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
