Social Media Marketing Intern
Jupiter is looking for a social media marketing intern who will collaborate on the creation and execution of Jupiter’s social media strategy and presence across Instagram and Tik Tok. They will be responsible for helping to grow our social media strategy, evolve our social channels and build the Jupiter community. This internship requires a strong background in storytelling, content creation, communications, and social media, as well as a desire to be a part of a fast-paced, early-stage startup.
The ideal candidate has native mastery of Instagram and TikTok and proven experience scaling/creating content for these channels. You will own engagement with our social media communities and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and post engaging, on-brand content on a regular and strategic cadence (the focus should be on video, but may also include images, Instagram stories, .gifs, and more)
- Take part in the creative process, writing copy and captions
- Track and report on KPIs across channels
- Create an extraordinary community experience by engaging with customers, influencers, community leaders, and bloggers
- Dream beyond the list of responsibilities given to you - proactively identify ways for the brand to come alive via social/digital channels
Qualifications
- You have a passion for social media + the beauty category/industry
- Comprehensive understanding of Instagram and Tik Tok (others a plus!)
- Skilled in video and photography and editing software including CapCut & Splice, or a willingness to learn both/either
- Deep understanding and point of view on social media trends. Constantly working on learning new trends, reading leading blogs, following thought leaders, and staying abreast of the latest content, product, and marketing trends in social media;
- Possess an understanding of an elevated aesthetic (and be able to reference brands in and outside the beauty industry that inspire you with the same)
- Innate storytelling abilities evidenced on your own social media profile or one that you’ve contributed to
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, collaborative, and confident with the ability to communicate and execute ideas;
- Ability to ideate and create written and visual content that resonates with a diverse audience and grows the brand reach.
