SOCHE's AFIT Summer Research Internship Program

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics students to gain valuable experience working in various departments at the Air Force Institute of Technology at WPAFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Process and program requirements:

·     Students must be US citizens.

·     Any major can apply, but usually only STEM students are chosen.

·     For first consideration, apply by January 28th, 2023.

·     There is no minimum GPA; however, a 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.

·     Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply. A graduating student needs to be continuing on with his/her education in the fall of 2023 in order to be eligible for the summer program. Graduating students will be asked to provide a graduate acceptance letter in order to be considered.

·     Students work full time for the summer (40 hours per week).

·     There is no official end to the recruiting phase. Project Leaders make selections and continue interviewing right up to the program start date. In the spring, however, we can provide information to the students regarding the status of his or her application such as a request by a Project Leader for additional information on his or her file.
