  • In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary
The Director of Group Homes will develop and maintain group home residential standards in compliance with Title 22 and Title 17 regulations, ensure appropriate staffing and supervision, as well as ensuring the health and safety of all residents.
Primary Duties include the following:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, strategic initiatives, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee systems of accountability that track quality of service, program budget, relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for the development, oversight and maintenance of the department’s budget.  
  • Ensure health and safety of residents through the development, implementation and enforcement of standards, guidelines, and services. 
  • Effectively supervise, evaluate and direct the work of a diverse group of employees. Timely completion of performance appraisals, regular supervisory meetings, performance documentation, staff development and supervision for success best practices. Manage personnel functions including recruiting, hiring, and retaining staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness of the group homes.


  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. 
  • Must possess and maintain current Group Home Administrator certification.
  • Current Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT) trainer certification, preferred.
  • Direct Support Professional Year 1 & Year 2 certification, preferred.
  • Four (4) year’s related leadership responsibility with at least three (3) years managing a department and supervising staff, preferably in a residential center or group home.
