Insights Intern

INSIGHTS INTERN 
New York, NY 
(Hybrid) 

THE RUNDOWN 
Playfly Sports is looking for an Insights Intern to join our Research and Insights team in New York, NY. Within our 10-week paid Playfly Summer Internship Program, you’ll be immersed into the business side of sports and join our team of talented professionals. Through hands-on experience, projects, and mentoring, you’ll learn the fundamental skills and knowledge it takes to have a career in sports while developing yourself professionally and personally. 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH  
  • Assist local, national & sponsorship analysts, and management in their day-to-day responsibilities (tracking data, developing actionable insights, building sales presentations, and delivering on ad-hoc requests from our sales teams)  
  • Support with building sales stories and managing ad-hoc sales requests  
  • Assist the sales team where needed to secure future projects 
  • Develop actionable insights and effective storytelling on behalf of advertisers 
  • Utilize Nielsen Arianna software to retrieve daily Nielsen NSI data across multiple local markets 
  • Utilize Nielsen eNames software to correct daily program titles for multiple Regional Sports Networks   
  • Attend all internship events and participate in projects and assignments 
  • All other duties as assigned 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experience in research and/or analytics to develop actionable insights and effective storytelling on behalf of advertisers 
  • Effective communication and persuasive skills (verbal and written) with proficiency in story-telling 
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset 
  • Self-starter and team player with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel 

INTERNSHIP DETAILS & APPLICATION GUIDELINES 
  • Entering Senior year of Bachelor’s program or second year of Master’s program, with a graduation date of December 2023 or later 
  • Availability to work June 5, 2023 – Aug 10, 2023, $15/hr, 32 hours/wk, Monday – Thursday 
  • Candidates are restricted to applying to TWO positions only
