PAID INTERIOR DESIGN INTERNSHIP

Studio RODA is a residential and commercial interior architecture and furniture design firm. Recognized for its warm and understated aesthetic, the studio synthesizes eclectic styles to create dynamic, functional, and authentic spaces. We are seeking a creative student of Interior Architecture or Architecture looking for an immersive paid internship in our Miami office, located in Little River, close to the Miami Design District. As an intern, you will be immersed in all our design processes, support the team, and provide administrative help.  The successful applicant will be detailed, solution-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be able to work independently to manage their own time while also being able to work collaboratively on a team.  
Experience: Previous design internships or experience preferred.
Education: Seeking an Interior Architecture or Interior Design Bachelor's or Master's degree (required)
Intern Job Duties (may include but not be limited to):
  • Assist with construction drawings in AutoCAD
  • Create SketchUp models
  • Use the Adobe Suite to create presentations
  • Participate in design development meetings and provide creative solutions
  • Assist in furniture and finish specifications, budgets, and ordering samples
  • Obtain and verify quotes for FF&E
  • Assist on-site with furniture and accessories installations as needed
  • Maintain material library
Skills:
  • Computer proficiency (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel)
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
  • Communicate design ideas concisely and clearly
Qualifications:
The right candidate will be a student seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture and will have some previous relevant internship experiences. Working knowledge of techniques, products, and materials used in high-end residential environments is also a plus. They must have excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a team player with a willingness to learn.
