Research Center Intern

The Walter and Lenore Annenberg Research Center houses the museum’s reference library, archives, and special collections that support the research of the art collection. Research Center collection highlights include materials such as manuscripts, rare books, scrapbooks, and photographs, pertaining to the Wyeth family of artists, Howard Pyle and his students, and American book illustration. This internship is an opportunity to learn about the management of an art library through projects such as library cataloging, answering reference queries, archival processing, preparing and writing finding aids, and training in preservation methods and materials. The intern will work closely with the Research Center Manager, who will supervise all projects. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as strong research, writing, and communication skills are required. A background in art history and/or library science is preferred. Current library science or archives management students are encouraged to apply. This internship is fully in-person and on-site at Brandywine Museum of Art. This internship includes a $3000 stipend for the summer.
