Global Internship Program:
An exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2023 Global Internship Program as an In Vitro Intern at the Ann Arbor Labcorp site!
As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in STEM+ Business and Healthcare disciplines, and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. About the Team:
The Ann Arbor Preclinical Oncology site executes preclinical oncology research of behalf of global clients. We use cutting edge science to evaluate the efficacy of new cancer fighting therapeutics via in vitro and in vivo models.
Internship Assignment Summary:
· Engage in cell culture related training to improve knowledge of cell culture growth parameters, conditions and techniques.
· Learn common assays used in preclinical oncology in vitro studies (MSD, ELISA, Cell proliferation assay, flow cytometry etc.).
· Participate in R&D process involved in 3D culture and CAR-T therapy development.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
· Working towards bachelor’s degree in biology, cellular and molecular biology, biomedical engineering or related field.
· Has experience with laboratory aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture (highly preferred).
· Has experience with molecular biology and flow cytometry (optional).
· Has experience working with MS Excel.
· Ability to collaborate and work with multiple colleagues on a team and work independently.
