Pet Services Merchandising Internship (Summer 2023)
This Summer 2023 Internship will be a 12-week internship starting on May 15th, 2023, and ending on August 4th, 2023, working at our Store Support Center in Brentwood, Tennessee. As an intern, you will work alongside TSC professionals in various areas to make a real impact on our business. You will have the opportunity to work on projects in the department, get exposure to day-to-day operations, and have a successful and meaningful internship.
This role supports Tractor Supply’s pet services, which include Pet Wash, PetVet Clinics, VetInsight (telehealth), Tractor Supply Rx, and more. The pet industry is growing significantly, aided partly by increased pet ownership during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to analysts at Morgan Stanley Research, spending on pet services is expected to lead the industry’s growth (143% increase by 2030). During this internship, you will have the chance to work on a highly dynamic, growing business at Tractor Supply while learning about the broader Merchandising Team and various department functions.

Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of pet services strategy, including researching incremental pet service offerings, identifying best-in-class customer experiences, and developing a go-to-market strategy
- Support data reporting and analysis for the pet services area
- Answer and assign store pet service issues to the appropriate Team; follow up to ensure resolution
- Collect and compile data for the company’s pet strategy reporting
- Review and proof marketing materials related to pet services promotions and communications
- Ad hoc merchandising work
Qualifications
Experience: Prior internship or work experience preferred
Education: Upper-level college student seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
