Intern -Supplier Risk & Diversity Analyst

Position Summary:
This role resides in the Procurement and Supplier Management team (PSM) under the Supplier Risk, Diversity & Sustainability department. Main activities pertain to supplier risk monitoring, mitigation, and prevention, which includes proactive communication to Sourcing, Purchasing and other team members, as well as involvement in supplier diversity activities which may require travel to conferences and plenty of interaction with suppliers.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Support the risk and diversity program
  • Use of Dexcom risk monitoring tools.
  • Execute supplier risk assessments and other project
  • Interact with suppliers during diversity events and report activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and alignment and make recommendations.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability and willingness to network both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge or willing to learn about supply chain and global economy.
  • Interest in global market, supply chain, sustainability, ESG, supporting diversity among supplier bases.
  • Demonstrated interest in diabetes is a huge plus or medical industry.
  • Highly flexible and able to shift priorities as needed.
  • Self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills that can ask, learn, and propose new ideas.
