Software Developer I

Advisory Aerospace OSC (www.advisoryaero.com) is a Software firm, based in Hopkins (MN), helping clients in manufacturing. We help clients in operations and supply chain transformations. A typical engagement involves significant application of data analytics to client's operational data using advanced statistical techniques, AI / ML methods, as well as cutting edge off the shelf or customized software.
We are partly funded by National Science Foundation and routinely collaborate with the Computer Science faculty at UMN and UMass.

As an example - A typical client is a $100M aerospace manufacturing company that produces 500GB of data per day. It may make hundreds of different parts for the commercial airliners like Boeing B787 or Airbus A320NEO, fighter jets like F-35 or F-18, or rockets like Blue Origin or SpaceX. Part production may involve multiple manufacturing process steps and the customer demand varies over time. There are resource availability issues (both staffing and equipment), part quality issues (not all processes are operating at six sigma quality) and supply chain deficiencies. How would data analytics and automation help this client optimize its operations to best satisfy the customers?
Key responsibilities -
> Participate in implementing data analytics tools at client factory sites
> Develop software - Full Stack

We are looking for smart problem solvers, aspiring developers, curious and data savvy individuals.
We expect that a candidate is excited to create new, unique software and does not shy away from problems that seem daunting in complexity.
Major in Computer Science, Data Science or a minor in computer science or software engineering required.
