Supply Chain Vendor Relations & Compliance

Job Description
  • Collaborates with all areas of business, internal and external, to maximize vendor performance. Focusing on vendors that have opportunities following standards that are laid out in the Bass Pro vendor guide.
  • Supports the Vendor Relations/Compliance department that supports, Merchandising, Inventory/Replenishment, Distribution, transportation, Accounting, etc.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
  • Improve performance through increased compliance to maximize profitable operations. Analyze issues for the root cause, and define, implement, and run preventive measures to improve vendor performance, including new processes, Bootcamps, vendor onboarding, testing, and chargebacks.
  • Align Bass Pro Shops with industry standards while maintaining service levels and business needs. Develop and/or maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams.

Project Outline
  • Create vendor performance documentation and conduct vendor performance assessment in conjunction with internal stakeholders to identify and execute specialized programs to ensure compliance and maximum performance to accomplish key priorities and objectives. Educate vendors on performance and compliance objectives.
  • Monday-Friday- 8:00AM-5:00 PM

Education & Experience
  • Majors- Supply Chain/Business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, enhanced Excel knowledge preferred.
  • Strong verbally and written communication skills and ability to interact with various levels of leadership
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Suggest and drive the implementation of improvement plans and serve as a representative to further strengthen vendor partnerships. Potentially travel to vendor locations to facilitate, audit, monitor, and implement improvement plans, serve as a representative to further build collaborative

College Intern Requirements:
  • Must be between your junior and senior years in college.
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Be able to commit to the entire internships session (40 hours a week for 10 weeks) in Springfield, MO.
  • Have an overall minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States.
