eCommerce Technology Summer Intern

Overview 

The Express Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid program that offers undergraduate Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to various aspects of a retail fashion company. The Summer Intern class will include students interested in hands-on experience in an area of interest and exposure to cross-functional collaboration as well as gaining valuable professional development.

The 2023 program runs from June 5th to August 11th, and positions will be available in our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.

Responsibilities 
  • Build an understanding of the relationship between eCommerce and other disciplines in driving online performance for fashion retail 
  • Learn to craft eCommerce technical strategies to meet business goals, determining appropriate tactics based on business need 
  • Develop new features and functionalities using modern web technologies 
  • Measure performance and impact of initiatives 
  • Be a customer advocate -think of the customer in all requirements and projects 
  • Communicate important and necessary information to eCommerce managers and stakeholders 
  • Assist in development and testing activities 
  • Participate in eCommerce meetings 
  • Assist in scrubbing defects reported from internal teamand external partners 
  • Assist the development team in resolving and identifying software issues

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment, including test-driven development 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and programming frameworks 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once

Requirements 
  • Availability to work full time (40 hours per week) 
  • Preferred GPA at or above 3.2
